abide photo retreat :: flagstaff, az

So there I was. Waiting at the entrance of the PHX airport in Arizona….for people I’ve never met before in person. Ever. For a shy, socially awkward introvert like myself this was exciting yet pretty dang scary, so of course by this point I was doing that thing most socially challenged people do – rehearsing conversations. (please tell me I’m not the only one who does that!) I had no idea what to expect. My inner introvert (and #5 on the enneagram) wanted to call it and take off. But the adventurer in me shook with curiosity and thankfully made me stay.

And guys…

Seriously, one of the best trips of my life! We adventured. We laughed. We told stories. We learned. We freaked out over every dog we saw. And we probably almost got hypothermia. But so so worth it.  Each girl I met was so sweet, real, and hecka talented! I definitely walked away from there with new friends and feeling encouraged both as a human and as a photographer!
